Microneedling is one of the most popular skin tighting therapies available.
Microneedling uses tiny needles on a mechanical device that makes controlled micro-channels (tiny holes) in the skin on various parts of body where aging has begun to reveal itself. It encourages the skin to react by producing more collagen and elastin to send to the area to heal it. As a result, the produced collagen adds volume to the skin, and the elastin helps return the skin to look fresher and younger.
Microneedling is often referred to as collagen induction therapy and the tinny holes can enhance the absorption of skincare products.
This treatment is recommended for the following conditions:
- Skin Rejuvenation
- Large Pores Treatment
- Acne and Acne Scars Treatment
- Wrinkles and Fine Lines
- Scar Treatment
- Sun Damage Treatment
- Stretch Marks
- Rosacea Treatment
The downtime following microneedling is 3-5 days long, as the area may be slightly pink like a mild sunburn. Once this goes away and the tiny holes heal, the results begin to appear.
While you can see some results immediately following a microneedling treatment, the full results do not become visible until the microchannels have healed and the skin’s colour has returned, which takes about two to four weeks.
The numbers of sessions are different due to the individualised treatment plans. If you are treating your acne scars, you will need more sessions (usually 6 Sessions).
This effective treatment can be combined with other skin rejuvenation procedures to achieve better results. A wholistic assessment of your skin will be done at your free consultation to discuss the best plan for your skin rejuvenation.
Microneedling for Body has been specifically developed to be performed on different parts of body (tummy, thigh and bottom) to minimise cellulite and get rid of stretch marks and scars on the body.
To tackle older scars, 5-6 sessions of treatment at each area might be required. Please discuss it with our practitioners at your free consultation.
